Description
Socialist Modernism in Germany, 1955–1990 – 3rd edition
by Dumitru Rusu – B.A.C.U. Association, preface by Jörg Haspel
The third edition of the third volume of the Socialist Modernism series presents 92 landmarks of socialist modernist architecture in Germany, organised by function into five sections. A map at the beginning of the book shows the location of every building.
In colour photographs, the B.A.C.U. Association explains the socialist modernist tendencies of the period and presents a functional image of each building and its often original elements, which synthesise local culture and traditions, together with its current state of conservation.
